FACIAL THERAPY

Electroporation

Elapromed is the most advanced European system for skin rejuvenation, offering a deep delivery of highly active vital compounds.

Electroporation uses short modulated pulses of a low current to create transient aqueous pores in the skin. The application of the electrical pulse “disrupts” the cell membrane’s structure for several seconds to increase permeability of the cell membrane, thus allowing the entry of compounds at the cellular level.

Seconds after the pulse ceases, the membrane returns to its original structure, leaving product that has been penetrated inside of the cell. The effect of the electroporation lasts for several seconds (up to 60 seconds with elapromed) therefore allowing for a high amount of compounds to be delivered. Apart from treating specific skin conditions, the cumulative benefits of electroporation include:

- penetration of the delivered compounds is above 90% (most delivery systems will penetrate only up to 10% of active substances into the skin).

- microcurrent stimulation at the intercellular level enables muscle toning, draining of liquids from intercellular space (eg. puffiness), and the production of new collagen and elastin, firming/lifting, and regenerating effect. - restores water balance in the skin.

- controls depth of the compounds delivered without affecting the vessels or the compound transfer into the bloodstream.
